Standard of Respect for Self and Others
At Whole Children, we welcome families and students of all abilities, philosophies and cultures. It is our core value that, as a community, we welcome and respect people as they are, and work to help each individual gain skills and work toward their goals. In order for a community to be truly welcoming, it is important that we maintain a safe and respectful environment. Every member, helper and guest of the Whole Children community is asked to follow these guidelines to the best of their ability:
- Respect each other’s differences
- Help one another when you can
- Take responsibility for your own feelings and reactions, ask for help or ask to leave a space if you need a break
- Do not touch another person without their permission
- Follow the rules and participate in the class or program to the best of your ability
- Encourage one another and celebrate one another’s successes
